Election analysis
Opportunities To Build Unity
At the centre of the nationally strong vote against the two main parliamentary
parties is the people’s backlash against the effects of the economic rationalist (neo-liberal) policies of multinational corporations, implemented by both the ALP and Liberal/National Coalition governments.
“Who Owns Australia?” – an election comment
The federal election campaign by the two major parties and the mainstream media rarely touched on issues of real substance about the future of the country. So it was surprising to see in The Weekend Australian of 31 July half a page on the issue of rural properties being taken over by overseas interests.
Immediate Demands on current issues
The Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist) is striving to advance the demands of the Australian working class and working people at this current time. These immediate demands form a solid basis on which to build united struggle by wide sections of the people. We urge all comrades and friends to promote and support these demands during and beyond the election period.
Editorial – More experience of ALP is needed
How to vote in the 2010 Federal elections is occupying people’s thinking at different levels and degrees. Parliamentary elections hide the reality of whoever is elected will merely continue as an Executive Committee whose primary role is efficient administration of capitalism and the imperialist control of Australia.
Statement on the Gaza convoy
The Communist Party of Australia (Marxist-Leninist) condemns the illegal and violent assault by the Israeli state in sending armed commandos to attack the peaceful convoy of ships bringing humanitarian aid to the suffering inhabitants of Gaza. We express our admiration and support for this courageous international solidarity action with the Palestinian people, as well as our sorrowful anger for the martyrs and injured victims of Israeli aggression.
